LOST IN THE BUSH.

A TRYING EXPERIENCE. WOMAN OUT ALL NIGHT. Mrs. Albert Wynwood, who had been missing from her home at Moeroa since Tuesday morning, was "found in an exhausted condition, but otherwise unhurt, on Thursday afternoon (says the Eltham Argus). The search was resumed on Thursday morning at daylight, and Messrs. Albert Doole and Len Robinson discovered Mrs. Wynwood in the bush at about 4 o’clock in the afternoon. She was several miles from her home and wag in a very weak and exhausted condition. Her rescuers placed her upon a horse and took her home, where after receiving every attention she recovered sufficiently to tell her story. It appears that Mrs. Wynwood had some difficulty in finding the cows when she went for them on Tuesday morning. She went into the bush in her search, and while there apparently took a wrong track. After walking some distance she realised that she had lost her way and decided to remain where she was. Although she did not know it at the time she was only about three miles from her home. Later she heard some of the searchers on the hills in the vicinity, and cooeed, but they did not hear her. Daylight failed soon after and she spent a trying night in the bush. As soon as morning broke she made another attempt to find her way home, but again took the wrong track, and when she eventually gave up was further than ■ever from home. When found by Messrs. Doole and Robinson Mrs. Wynwood had become too weak to walk, and it is doubtful if she could have survived another night in the bush. Yesterday Mrs. Wynwood was reported to be still very weak and suffering from shock and exposure, but to be recovering as well as could be expected after her trying experiences.
