SPRING FLOWERS.
SHOW AT INGLEWOOD.
LIST OF AWARDS. (From Our Own Correspondent). Sept. 15. St. Andrew’s second annual spring flower and bulb show was held to-day, and will be continued to-morrow. Though Friday has been called visitors’ day, quite a large number were attracted thither today, and pronounced the event a success. The arrangements certainly reflect credit on those responsible for them. A most excellent cup of afternoon lea was available just when it was most useful, accompanied by comestibles that made it even more welcome. Mesdames Coldwell and Winter were in charge of that part of the proceedings, so success was assured before the start. Stdlls, too, there were to tempt visitors. That of the Ladies’ Guild was in the charge of Mesdames Crossman, Messenger 'and Roberts and Miss Brown; the fancy stall was presided over by Mesdames Bublitz, Cutfield and Horner; the girls’ guild stall of varieties, sweets and Christmas tree was managed by quite a bevy of young ladies, whose duties, if onerous, appeared also to be joyous. The vestrymen had a kind of “Johnny all sorts collection”, as the secretary termed it—sort of “too-numerous-to-mention” stall, while the produce stall was in the charge of Mrs. G. Giddy and Miss Hamerton. Altogether things were going with a swing this afternoon. Probably there will be more to tell after ail is over; but that will not be told until after Friday night, when the proceeds and all are totalled up. Following are the awards:
