MARLBOROUGH CHAMPIONSHIP. By Teleffraph —Press Association. Blenheim, Last Night. Fred Wells, a well-known cyclint, his lodged a deposit with Mr. S R. P. Furness (proprietor of the Marlborough Express) to row Hannan on the Wairau river for £l5O aside and the championship of Marlborough. Wells has been trying to locate Fogwell with a view to a challenge for the New Zealand championship, but without success.
