THE DEADLOCK CONTINUES. By Telegraph —Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Further correspondence has passed between the Miners’ Federation and the Mineowners’ Association in connection with the owners’ decision to refer the existing dispute to the Arbitration Court. Mr. O’Rourke, who has just commenced his duties as sedretary of the federation, repeats the request for another conference to consider drafting a national agreement on a practical basis. The owners’ reply, signed by Mr. Pryor, makes it definitely clear that the association will not depart from its present policy.
