DROP OF A PENNY. MOVE IN AUCKLAND. By Telegraph Press AascJaUoa. Auckland, least Night. A drop of one penny per lb. in the retail price of butter was announced today following a meeting of the Auckland Provincial Butter Committee. The meeting carried a resolution to the effect that owing to the drop in the Home market it wiil be a recommendation from the committee that the wholesale price of first grade butter be 2s per lb bulk, at the factory door, and 2/1 for pats at the factory door (plus jd for delivery at Auckland), in order to make the maximum retail price of 2/4 per lb.
