MAN DROPS DEAD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. While walking in the city to-day William Tompsitt (73) staggered and fell and expired almost immediately. For many years he was prominently associated with local bodies in the Otaki district. He leaves a widow and two daughters. HEAD BLOWN OFF. Nelson, Last Night. At an inquest concerning the death of Leonard Finch, of Tasman, who was found with the top of his head blown off and a ehot gun in his left hand, a verdict was returned that death was caused by a gunshot wound. There was no evidence to show how it happened, but there were indications that it was selfinflicted while mentally deranged.
