THE PEOPLE’S.
“DRAG HARLAN” TO-NIGHT.
William Farnum, the Fox star, is to be seen at the People’s Theatre to-morrow aad Wednesday in “Drag Harlan.” a picture that has received the hearty acclaim of all Farnum admirers. The star gets back into sombrero and holster in the title role and creates a character that makes a brilliant addition to his already long list of screen personages. As the famous “Pardo, the two-gun man,” Farnum gives many exhibitions of his skill with a six-gun, and is said, to have spent many hours of practice in drawing his guns to get the lightning-like rapidity which the part of “Drag” Harlan required. The appellation of “Drag” was won because of the hero's p&mliar trick of allowing his hand to hover over his pistol butt before drawing, which gave the appearance of dragging his gun out of the holster. If you love to read stories about men of the West who could draw a gun like a streak of blue lightning; you surely can’t afford to miss- “ Drag Harlan,” starring William Farnum. “Drag” was sticking his gun back in its leather before the other fellow even got started. The box plans are at Collier’s.
EVERYBODY S. LAST NIGHT OF “MY HUSBAND’S OTHER WIFE.” “My Husband’s Other Wife,” concluding to-night at presents beautiful limpid-eyed Sylvia Breamer, Australia’s own successful star, in the “my” of the title. Big and virile is Warren Chandler in his role of “My Husband.” A delicately beautiful and talented actress in May McAvoy is the “other wife,” while the cast of principals is completed by Robert Gordon, as the young man who devoutly hopes that “my hueband” really has another wife. The picture, with a new angle on divorce, has a tensity that is grippingly absorbing, and a smashng climax that fades into a beautiful and noble finale, impressive to a degree. The bill includes “Silent Avenger,” gazette, and 2-reel comedy. Coming to-morrow is the big Western lumber camp drama. “The Last of His People,” featuring big Mitch. Lewis. MALE CHOIR CONCERT.
