A FORMER KINGDOM. RESTORATION URGED. POSSIBLE SOLUTION. By Telegraph.—Prom Asin.—Copyright. London, Sept. 11. Lord Dunraven, in a letter to The Times, urges the restoration of the former status of the Kingdom of Ireland under the British Crown as preferable to the Dominion status, which politically expresses the material growth of the Empire, but does not meet Ireland’s case, which was never a colony, and therefore not an Imperial entity. On the other hand Ireland has ever protested against the deprivation of her former status of a kingdom and constitution. , Lord Dunraven thixi«M» v««»v M.uh Fein’s acknowledgment that the two islands are closely linked by physical and historical acts would make a satisfactory arrangement on these lines not difficult of attainment, and would meet eome idealist objections to the present proposals.
