BATTLE OF SAKARIA. FOUGHT TO A STANDSTILL. By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright. Constantinople, Sept. 11. Latest reports indicate that the battle of Sakaria resulted in a stalemate. Both armies have been fought to a standstill, and are suffering from supply and transport difficulties. It is considered possible that the Greeks may abandon the advance on Angora and withdraw westward, as there is now no hope of enveloping any large portion of the Kemalist forces. Kemal has eent Kurds, including members of the Angora Assembly, to the borders of Mesopotamia, to stir up the Nationalists.
