EXPLOSION ON SUBMARINE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—copyright. Received September 11, 5.5 p.m. . London, Sept. 10. Three engineers were killed and three injured through an explosion on the German submarine Deutschland, which crossed the Atlantic during the war and is now being ‘-bsmantled at Birkenhead. The men were stripping the motor room when the explosion took place. The cause is unknown. The men were , flung against the sides of the vessel. Volunteers pluckily descended into the smoking interior and brought out the bodies. The fire was quickly extin-guished.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
