THE TRAMWAYS.
LAST WEEK’S TRAFFIC. The traffic returns of the New Plymouth tramways for the week ending last night show that there was a slight decrease in the traffic handled, as compared with the corresponding period of last year. Yesterday’s total was a small one, this being no doubt due to the inclement weather. For the week 30,534 passengers were carried, the receipts being £322 9s 2d. This represents 139 less passengers than in the 1920 period, and a falling off in revenue of £3 19s 2d. The details are:— /
