ENTERTAINMENTS.

“THE PALACE OF DARKENED

WINDOWS.”

THE PEOPLE’S.

Concluding to-night at the People’s is the big Selznick production, “The Palace of Darkened Windows,” an enchanting mystery play of an Indian harem and the adventurous entry thereof by a beautiful and curious girl t It is a picture that rivals “Chin Chin Chow” in atmosphere, magnificence of setting, and in its power to hold. It is a drama of the Orient, and of u white girl entrapped into a Rajah’s palace. Gazette, comedy and the ’•Moonriders” are also shown.

To-morrow’s change presents a big double star Fox bill with Buck Jones in “The Big Punch” and Eileen Percy in “The Tomboy.”

EVERYBODY’S.

WESLEY BARRY IN “GO & GET IT.”

In his latest melodrama, “Go and Get It,” at Everybody’s, commencing at the special matinee to-day at * 2, Marshall Neilan has graphically shown what would happen in a big city if a powerful ape with the brain of a criminal, transferred to him by a surgical operation, were at large in its midst. Undoubtedly one of the most exciting and enthralling pictures the screen has given us, the above theme is only the basis of a succession of thrilling and deathdefying aeroplane exploits on the part of Pat O'Malley in the role of a young newspaper reporter, ordered by his editor to ‘go and get it’—the story. Wesley Barry, the freckle-faced lad who is the latest star, also features prominently in the cast, while more than a word of comment is due to Bull Montana for what is probably the most astounding characterisation ever seen —that of the man-gorilla. Breathlessly exciting, and wholly absorbing, is this extraordinary feature, which is dedicated by Marshall Neilan to that band of men whom so little is heard—the reporters. Special matinee prices are: Adults 1/6 and 1/-, children fid. The box plan is at Collier’s.
