LEPPERTON FATALITY.
VERDICT OF ACCIDENTAL DEATH. The adjourned inquest concerning the death of Joseph Paul Fietteher, the victim of the Lepperton railway accident on August 27, was concluded at the New Plymouth Courthouse on Saturday, before Mr. A. M. Mowlem, S.M., district coroner. e Detective Cooney gave evidence as to finding in the police records a photograph of Fletcher, taken in 11X11. A full description was given, tatoo marks on the left arm, a seat an the neck, and a lump inside the right middle finger. The marks described were found on the body. The photograph also resembled deceased.
The coroner stated there was no suggestion of negligence on the part of anybody, and he returned a formal verdict to the effect that death wm due to shock consequent on deceased being injured by the wheels of a train from i which train he attempted to alight whilst it was in motion.
