The Canadian Importer's lifeboat and eleven men have been picked up.—-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. DIFFICULT TOWAGE. TUG PICKS UP LIFEBOAT. MEN IN GOOD SPIRITS. Received Sept. 4, 11.50 p.m. New York, Sept, 3. The Canadian Winner found it impossible efficiently to tow the disabled Importer, and wirelessed for an oceangoing tug. Accordingly, the Sea Lion left San Francisco on Friday night, and in the early morning she encountered Laird’s lifeboat containing ten sailors, when a hundred miles off the Gohlen Gate and making good time to that port. Though they had been two weeks in an open boat, the men were in good health and spirits. The Sea Lion took them aboard and continued towards the Importers.—Reuter Service.
