A SECRET SOCIETY.
GERMAN PLOT REVEALED ALLEGATIONS OF MURDERS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received September 2, 10.45 p.m. Berlin, September 1. The Democratic Party has revealed plans of a secret vengeance society, discovered shortly before the murder of Herr Erzberger. It is formed by exofficers and members of the security police, and it is alleged that the society has been responsible for the disappearance of Germans accused of betraying the Fatherland and also for the assassination of Herr Erzberger. The society was planning an attack on the Government, which had promised an investigation of propaganda disseminated by a woman known as the “witch of Neukelin,” owing to her predictions of the restoration of the Monarchy.—United Service.
