HYDRO-ELECTRICITY.
RATEPAYERS’ MEETING. The Mayor and councillors have been invited to a meeting convened by the Ratepayers’ Association for Tuesday evening, to consider the position arising out of the council’s rejection of the proposal to have a survey made above the present works. The Mayor has also been asked to allow the council’s consulting engineers, borough engineer, electrical engineer and town manager to be present. A good deal of interest is being manifested in the meeting, and a large attendance is expected.
