NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION, THIRD TEST MATCH. By Telegraph—-Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Matters in connection with the third test were discussed by the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night. In addition to curtainraisers it was decided that the Athletic Association should run a three-mile race. The New South Wales Union wrote asking for a return match between the Springboks and New South Wales. The request was referred to the manager oi the South African team. A request from the Manawatu-Hora whenua Union for sanction to play « trial game with the New Zealand teair and a suggestion that a Wellington 1' team should play short spells with the New Zealand team on September 10 at a curtain-raiser to the WellingtonSouthland game were referred to th* New Zealand selectors.

It was resolved to inform the Auckland Union that it must take action iir •respect to A. P. Singe, who was reported to have played the League game. Clarence Bezar (Wellington), James Scott and Cecil Coyle (Hawke’s Biy), ex-League players, were reinstated. The chairman stated that the date of the conference between New Zealand, New South Wales and South Africa was practically fixed for September 15. It was understood South Africa would agree in respect to representation on the English Union; the only difference opinion will probably be on an amend* ment of the rules of the game. Mes<9. G. Howe, G. W. Slade, and H. FrOst were appointed the New Zealand dele-, gates. The training of the New Zealand team* was discussed in committee at some'

considerable length. It was to give authority to Mr. Griffiths (New Zealand selector), with the assistance of Messrs. Nicholson and Stewart (the other selectors), to have full control of the training of the team, the members of which will go into barracks at Day’s Bay, near Wellington, ten days before the match, for final training. 1
