LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
INTERNATIONAL COORT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Geneva, August 30. Thirty-five groups of nations have submitted to the League of Nations the names of candidates for appointment as judges in the International Court of Justice. The British candidates .are Lords Finlay and Phillimore and Sir H. E. Richards; the United States, Judges Moore, Pound, Root, Brown and Scott; South Africa, Mr. J. H. Wessels, Canada, Sir Robert Borden and Mr. Doherty. DOMINIONS’ CONTRIBUTIONS. London, August 31. On a revenue and population basis Canada is. placed in the third group in the Ceague of Nation’s expenditure. Australia is in the fourth group. It Ls assumed that the latte may possibly desire io be placed or an equality with Canada by paying the slight increase which the change would entail.
