RESOLUTIONS CARRIED.

The annual meeting of the New Zealand Automobile Union to-day discussed questions of interest to motorists and other road-users.
Resolutions were adopted recommending the discontinuance of dimming headlights, the improvement of road corners, the establishment of a motor police patrol to deal with lights on vehicles and stray cattle on country roads, the prohibition of overhanging baggage more than six inches over the width of the Vehicle, the increase of petrol storage to 12 cases, objecting to the erection of toll-gates, the basis of taxation for the construction of arterial roads to be a tyre-tax and annual license fees, not exceeding £2 for cars, £1 for threewheelers, 10s for two-wheelers; the representation of the motor associations on the Highways Boards under the sill.
