WEDDING.

INNES—HINE. The marriage took place at St. John’s Church, Waitara. on Wednesday. August 24, of Miss Lily Jones, fifth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Jones, of Sea View, Waitara, and Mr. Henry Hine, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hine, jun., of Tikorangi. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. H. Gavin, in the presence of a large congregation. The bride looked charming as she en--1 tered the church on the arm of her | father, who gave her away. She wore a I pretty frock of Jap silk, trimmed with : chiffon and crystal beads, also wearing ! the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of spring flowers, made by Mr. J. Graham, of Wellington. Miss Marlow played the Wedding March. The bridesmaids. Miss Ethel Jones (sister of the bride), and Miss Elsie Johnaton (cousin of the bridegroom), wore pretty frocks of pfale pink and pale blue crepe-de-chine respectively, with black Leghorn hats and carried bouquets of spring flower 3. The bridegroom’s presents to the bridesmaids were a jewel case and a pretty gold brooch. The bridegroom was attended by his brother (Mr. Toni Hine), as host man. while Mr. Cyril Jones (brother of the bride) acted a? groomsman. After the ceremony a large number of relatives and friends of the bride and bridegroom assembled at the Clifton Hall, where a reception was held. After the breakfast had been partaken of, and the many toasts duly honored, the happy couple left by. car amid showers of rice and confetti and the good wishes of all present for their honeymoon somewhere in New Zealand.

The young couple were the recipients of many useful and valuable presents, testifying to the esteem in which they are held. The. bride’s travelling dress was a navy serge costume, with hat to match, and a beautiful fur, the gift of the bridegroom.
