ANNUAL REPORT.
The twenty-ninth annual report of the Lepperton Dairy Company is as follows:
Cheese made amounted to 132 tons 13 cwt 2qrs. 121 b; whey butter made amounted to 3 tons sewt. Iqr. J2lb; and creamery butter made amounted to 45 tons 14cwt. 2qrs. 51b. Butter was made during the months of July, 1920, and January, February, March, April, May and June. 1921. The balance sheet shows that after setting aside the sum of £5OO for reduction of overdraft, there remains the sum of £4746 Is 5(1 for distribution. Owing to the quantity of cheese still on the water it is impossible to give final figures until account .sales come to hand. Your directors propose to pay 4d per lb at the annual meeting, together with in. terest on shares, and the balance when payment is received for the cheese still to be accounted for. The following statistics are also cm- , bodied in the report:—Lbs, of milk (cheese-making), 2.782,1481 b of milk, (butter-making). 1.967,521 •, lb of eream. 1338: lbs of butler-fat- (butter.making) 88,635; I'bs of cheese 297,204; lbs of whey butter. 7320; lbs of creamery butter, 102,429; over-run, 15.56; average test (cheese-making), 3.99; average test (butter-making) 4.48; average test (cream)’, 34.6: lb of milk to 11b of cheese 9.36; lb of cheese to 11b of butter-fat. 2.68.
