CARGO STEAMER SINKS.
CANADIAN STATE VESSEL. ONE BOAT-LOAD MISSING. By Tolegraph. —Press Assn.—Copyright. Received August 2d, 55 p.m. Vancouver. August 25. The steamer Canadian Importer sank off the Washington coast. Part of the crew was picked up, but a boat-load is missing.— Cable Assn.
The Canadian Importer belonged to the Canadian State line, and traded from the Pacific coast of America to New Zealand and Australia.
