MYSTERY OF A GIRL

MISSING FROM HER HOME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Greymouth, Last Night. A mystery surrounds the disappearance of a sixteen-year-old girl, Maria Muirhead, who has been missing from her home at Cobden since Thursday morning. Her clothing was found on the Grey River bank, and she previously expressed her intention of going swimming, but a search in the river proved fruitless. It is now believed she may have gone overland by railway to Canterbury, where the police are enquiring.
