ALICE PARKINSON CASE.
HER RELEASE ON PROBATION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Hon. E. P. Lee (Minister of Justice) states that he has decided to release Alice Parkinson, who was sentenced to life impriaomnent for manslaughter at Napier. The Prisons Board considered the case in February under legislation passed by Parliament last session, and decided to defer ite decision until it had an opportunity of going further into the case. The board then resolved to recommend the GovernorGeneral to release Alice Parkinson on probationary conditions, and the recommendation was approved by the GovernorGeneral.
