THE MOASCAR CUP. A MATCH AT NAPIER. By Telegraph —Pres® Association. Napier, Last Night. A match in the Moasfear Cup competition was played to-day, between Napier High School and Napier Technical College, and was won by the High School by 44 to nil. The losers were quite outclassed. The ; winners’ backs gave a bright display, the whole of the points resulting from snappy passing movements, despite unfavorable weather conditions.
High School play the Maori Agricultural College’in the final match for this district on Thursday afternoon. TARANAKI v. WELLINGTON. MATCH. STARTS EARLIER. Owing to the Railway Department having decided not to delay the 4.20 train from New Plymouth on Saturday for the. Wellington —Taranaki representative match, the Rugby Union has decided that the kick-off shall be at 2.15 sharp, enabling the game to finish before •1 o’clock. This will be appreciated by country residents and by those who have to travel home by train. REFEREE’S MATCH. The match between teame representing the northern and southern committees of the Taranaki Rugby Referees’ Association is not to be played, the southern team having forfeited. The annual dinner, however, will take place to-morrow evening.
