DOMINIONS AND FINANCE.
BRITISH INVESTORS’ ATTITUDE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received August 22, 8.10 p.m. London, August 22. The Morning Post’s financial editor says Mr. W. M. Hughes’ references to Australia as a field for profitable investment were not appreciated in the city, but there was a general feeling that Mr. Hughes seemed to pre-suppose a lack of appreciation by the British investor of the desirableness of favoring Dominion over foreign investments. This lack of appreciation does not exist. The British investor has shown again and again distinct partiality for Dominion securities, other things being equal, proof of this being the scant difference between the values of British and Dominion credits.-—Aus.-N.Z.
