The terms of settlement of the Port Pirie smelters are that a conference be held between the company and the union before January to arrange for the medical examination and compensation, those on the books in January, 1919, to be eligible for employment without examination. New employees to he prepared to certify that they are not suffering from industrial disease and to bo prepared to submit to examination. A resumption ,of work is expected on Thursday.
