TERMS WITH IRELAND.
OFFER MADE BY BRITAIN. MORE LOCAL CONTROL. By Tel ears pb—Press Assn—Copyright. Received August 10, 7.35 p.m. London, August 10. It is reliably reported from Dublin that the terms, which Mr. Lloyd George offered to De Valera include Ireland completely controlling and policing Ireland and ‘lrish taxation. Defence is to be controlled by the United Kingdom subject to a mutual understanding with the Northern and Southern Parliaments, with an offer of special facilities for recruitment for Irishments in the Imperial Army. It is believed also that the proposals include one that Ireland should bear a proportionate share of the late war pensions.—Reuter Service.
