ASIA MINOR.

ANGORA EVACUATED. PEOPLE PANIC-STRICKEN. By Telezraph.—Press Assn —Copyright Paris, August 7. A Constantinople telegram states that the Kenialists have decided to evacuate Angora. Constantinople, August 7. The Kemalists are removing from Angora to Cesarea the archives and Government stores, preparatory to the evacuation. It seems improbable, therefore, that the Nationalists will make a last stand west of Angora, Mustapha Kemal’s policy being to preserve his army as much as possible, while reckoning that the further the Greeks advance the more they will weaken themselves. The people of Angora are panic-stricken by the plans for retirement and the Greek aerial bombardments, but the authorities are said to be sanguine of final success. They declined the Bolshevik offer to send reinforcements at present, saying they would take advantage of it if things went badly.
