NO IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT OFFER. By TelegrnpU. -Pre*’! Association Wellington, Last Night. There appears to be an impression abroad in some quarters that the Imperial Government has offered to purchase the New Zealand output of cheese next season at HJd per lb. This is entirely incorrect, as is shown by a cable just received from the High Commissioner reading as follows: “Undersand that rumors are current in New Zealand that the Imperial Government is considering the purchase of next season’s output of butter and cheese; there is no truth in this.”
