TO BRING PEACE.

DESTINY OF AMERICA’

REMOVING WAR'S CAUSES.

HOPES OF SUCCESS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received August 5, 5.5 p.m, Washington, August 4. At Lancaster, New Hampshire, President Harding, in a speech, said; “Nothing on earth can prevent America from fulfilling her God-given destiny. America to-day is more firmly founded than ever, and it is my hope, before my term of office has expired, that the things for which we have stood, will be so firmly looted that man can give his attention to the pursuits of peace and the attainment of those higher ends which God intended.”

President Harding said he believed all the world was resolved that warfare should be brought to an end, and he was happy to state that the Government was engaged in an enterprise which, without involving the surrender of nationality, of liberty, or of right, will remove the reasons for war and put an end to it. “I think we will succeed,” he added.—Aus.-N.Z.
