Sales on th© Stock Exchange to-day were: Bank of New South Wales, £35; Bank of New Zealand, 48s 9 cl; New Zealand Insurance, 29s 9d; South British Insurance, 35s and 35s 3d; Loan and Mercantile (pref.), £35; Auckland Gas (cont.) 22s Rd and 22s 9d; Kaiapoi Woollen Mills, 24s 6d; Colonial Sugar (Australia), £27. The reduction of the Waihi Company’s capital from £l.to 10s shares takes effect next Thursday, the Exchange quoting as 10s paid-up quotations 21s sellers, and 19s 3d buyers, compared with 31s and 29s 6d on Wednesday.
