PERSONAL.
Mr. J. R. Corrigan, chairman of the Hawera Dairy Company, arrived in New Plymouth by the mail train last evening. This morning he leaves on a holiday trip to Christchurch. Word has been received that Mr. Jas. Oorrigall, of New Plymouth, died at Dunedin yesterday morning. Deceased had been in ill-health for some time. Two months ago he went to Dunedin for special treatment, which, however, was not successful. He was of a bright disposition, and a keen and progressive business man, and a wide circle of friends will regret his early demise. He leaves a widow and two young children. Mr. Corrigall’s parents ‘reside in the South Island.
