RIFLE SHOOTING.
DOMINION ASSOCIATION. By Telegraph —Press Association. Wellington, August 4. At a meeting of the Executive Council of the Dominion Rifle Association, Colonel Collins, referring to the proposal of a drastic change in the association’s constitution, Said the Defence Department was desirous of encouraging rifle shooting. This could be best done by maintaining the D.R.A. under its present constitution as a separate and distinct unit. A team would represent the Commonwealth at the next meeting at Trcntham. It was also expected that both Victoria and New South Wales would be well represented. The first prize in each match had been increased to £lO, and others raised proportionately, the total in each match being £122. The Blsley and Trenthair. aggregate prize lists had been increased to £lOO each. The date of the next association meeting is March 2.
