NO MONEY FOR WAGES.
COUNTY COUNCIL’S PREDICAMENT. B> Telegraph —Press Association. Invercargill, July 29. The Southland County Council finds itself in difficulties owing to the financial stringency, its bank having refused a further increase of its overdraft. The council has insufficient money tp pay salaries at the end of the month and it has been unable to strike rates owing to numerous objections to the Government valuation.
