The floods on the north coast are dim inishing but, owing to many places ’fleeted still being isolated, information respecting the damage is incompm®. There was extensive damage at Lismore. e Scores of houses were submerged to the roofs. Four persons were drowned in the Richmond River, namely three adults and one child, bringing the total to six. In the north-west and west the floods are becoming worse and, it is feared, will be greater than any in the past. The State meteorologist considers the stretch of country from Boggobilia to Bourke (300 miles) will be under water in a few days.
