Wednesday, and will leave for New Plymouth by the 1.47 p.m. train on Wednesday. The board left Wellington to-day and will return on August 16, so that Stratford is the first town on its itinerary. PERSONAL. Mr. J l . D. Murray, of Eenton Street, left Stratford to-day for Rotorua, where he is to undergo a course of treatment at the Sanatorium. Mr. T. J. McDonald, general manager of the Stratford, Dairy Co., has resigned his position and his place yvill be taken by Mr. T. Mclroy, of the Tariki Dairy Co. It is reported that Mr. P. Sutton, who met with a serious motor accident on July 16, is recovering. At the meeting of the Kohuratahi Settlers’ Association a motion of sympathy with the family was passed. GENERAL. Xhe plain and fancy dress masquerade ball, which takes place in Stratford Town Hall on Thursday, the 28th, promises to be the event of the season. Prizes are to be given for the best fancy dress amongst ladies and gentlemen. The i best of music and floor are promised to patrons, and an enjoyable time to till. The Stratford. Musical Society has on sale until July 30 honorary members’ tickets at ]os Gd each. These tickets will admit two people to each of two concerts. Tho price of Reserved seats is to 'be 4s, so patrons w/ll effect a saving of 5s Gd by buying/ season tickets, which may be obtained on application to the secretary. A good farmer’s or householder’s bundle of stationery is supplied for 5s post free by Wilson Bros., stationers, Stratford. This is the list: Two writing pads, three packets envelopes, packet blotting slips, lead pencil, pen and scribbling or order pad. Send 5s along and get a bundle from Wilson Breus, stationers, Stratford.
