MR. HOLLAND’S CHARGES. By Twlegraph —Press AsgocJatlov Wellington, July 23. ring the Parliamentary session of last year Mr. Holland, M.P., made certain charges as to the condition in which some New Zealand meat had been shipped Home, alleging, among other things, that the meat was rateaten, contained rats’ nests, and was unfit for human consumption. An official denial was given to the charges at the time, and subsequently the Minister appointed a Commission, headed by Sir Thomas Mackenzie, to investigate the charges. This Commission did not ait, and, as Sir Thomas Mackenzie is now in Britain, the Minister of Agriculture intends to reconstitute the Commission. The promised investigation i£ expected to be undertaken at an early date.
