FALL OFF A TRAM.
ELDERLY MAN KILLED. B.> telegraph —Press Aaioeistlon. Wellington, July 23. A fatal accident occurred in the city to-day. An elderly man slipped off a tramcar, striking his head on the tramraile. Dr. Palmer was promptly on the scene, and an ambulance was summoned, but before the latter arrived the man was dead, having evidently fractured his skull. Papers on the boJy showed that deceased was a hotel-worker named John Finlay t aged 55 years.
