DUMPING BILL DEFERRED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—CopyrightMelbourne, July 22. In the House of Representatives, Sir Joseph Cook announced that the Australian war bill was 444 millions. Although the Industries Reservation Bill, which is intended to prevent dumping, was listed for debate on Friday, it is understood that it will be withdrawn, in consequence of opposition, till next session.

Millen, explained that the appointment of Captain Tait as deputy commissioner for war service homes in Victoria bad been terminated, in consequence of the preferential treatment of himself in connection with the blocks of land purchased for soldiers’ homes, also for the late senior of works, and the purchase of other lands for his father-in-law and other relatives without first obtaining the customary reports. THE VICTORIAN PARLIAMENT. Melbourne, July 21. The Secretary of the Labor Party states that it will move an amendment, in the Assembly with the view of amalgamatink the indictments by the Farmers and Labor Parties against the State Government.
