FLIGHT TO NEW ZEALAND.
PROPOSAL PROHIBITED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Melbourne, July 22. The civil aviation authorities have prohibited Briggs’ flight from Australia to New Zealand, on the ground that the petrol required would be 3001 b in excess of the weight allowed for commercial purposes. Briggs hopes to secure a machine which will satisfy the regulations, and so realise his ambition to be the first to fly to New Zealand.
