At Bisley Armourer-Sergeant Cunning, late of the Ordnance Corps, won the King’s Prize with a score of 226. Vennell (New Zealand}, with 183, was ninetieth.
Cunningham, who is sixty-two years of age, was ignorant that he was a finalist. Captain Gray, who finished with 225, which was. the highest score then known, was being congratulated as the winner, when Cunningham was ordered to shoot. He is a rheumatic cripple and crawled on to the range with difficulty. He used a rifle which he had hired for a shilling a day. He had been in the Kings a hundred and eight times. —Aus.-N.Z.
