TEAM FROM ENGLAND. TOUR OF NEW ZEALAND. By Tfilegraph.—Press Association.. Christchurch. Last Night. Mr. Raphael, chairman of the New Zealand Cricket Council, announces that the council has definitely invited the Marylebone Club to send an English [amateur team to New Zealand diving the comuig season. The exceptionally favorable terms with the Australian States have placed the profit on a satisfactory basis, and ensured the financial success of thv tour. The team will commence its matches in New Zealand in the first week in December. Approximately eighteen matches will be played in New Zealand, including three tests. There has been a little hesitation by Auckland and Otago to join in the financial guarantees, bur. in view of the exceptionally favorable terms now offered by Aus tralia it it thought the council will receive the fujlest support of all associations. The council has specially asked that the Hon. Lionel Tennyson be included in the team, and also two professionals.
