(To the Editor.) Sir,—’Tis quite refreshing in troublQUS times like these, to find when a man puts forward a good suggestion that he should be so readily backed up. "A. 8. Is a gentleman who evidently believes In keeping things (to wit an Illustrated paper four years old), and to a very good purpose this tiune. The Information given by him should check all doubt that might exist as to the success of Mr. Spun’s scheme. If the Paritutu Preservation Society can muster enough energy to insist that the idea be given a trial before the next blast is fired, together with an offer, to the board to bear a portion of the expense, let them start at once; if not, well then for ever hold their peace. Hoping an abler pen than mine will take this up,—l ant, etc., C.D.
