COURSING.

TARANAKI CUP MEETING. The Taranaki Plumpton Coursing Club will hold its Taranaki Cup meeting at the enclosure, Glenavon, on August 12 and 13. The event is for 64 dogs or bitches, the winner’s proportion of the stake being £llO and the cup, runner-up £5O, and two dogs £2O each. In the event of the stake not filling, then the payments will be made pro rata, but with a guarantee of £5O to the winner, £2O/to tho runner-up and £lO each to two dogs. Nominations close with the secretary, Mr. F. Doughty, New Plymouth, on August 10, at 8 p.m. The meeting should bo a really good one, and following as it does the Waterloo Cup meeting, to bo held at Hamilton, it is hoped that a number ...of Australian dogs win be seen in action, as well us the pick of the Dominion's performers.
