Tom Gibbons tas signed an agreement with Mr. Rickard to meet Carpentier in October in a contest for theP light heavy-weight championship. TOURNAMENT AT NEW PLYMOUTH. At a meeting of the committee of the Taranaki Boxing Association last night arrangements wore made to match L. Cadman, of Dargaville, and McAsey, of Lepperton, on August 13. The bout, which will be for a purse of 100 sovs., will take place at the Coronation Hall, which is being specially Cited for the. occasion. Three amateur contests will also be staged, as well as a professional exhibition ipar.
