In Border to provide work for uneinployed returned soldiers, the City Council has decided to put in hand a number of special works. It was also resolved that a cablegram shquld be sent to Mr. Massey, drawing attention to the difficulty of procuring employment, not only for returned soldiers, but for others, particularly mhrried men, and pointing out the undesirability . therefore of encouraging immigration.
