AUSTRALIAN LOANS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. London, July 17. West Australia is placing six months Treasury bills for two millions at 5% per cent, discount. Owing to the recent issue of Treasury, bonds tte New South Wales and West Australia loans have been indefinitely postponed. It is rumored that New South Wales will follow West Australia's expedient aud issue Treasury bills. Both will issue loans later in the' year. . NEWTON KING LTD. REPORT. At Urenul on July 1, a brisk market prevailed throughout, little of a fair yarding remaining unsold. A heavy yarding of dairy' cattle was submitted, steady enquiry lifting prices to a good level and a good clearance resulting. Ewes in lamb 10s 6d Us. lambs 8s cows 9d, weaner heifers 15s, Jersey do £4 3s, stere cows £2 5s £2 10s £2 15s, dairy cows £l3 £l5, dairy heifers £9 12s 6d £lO £lO 7s Gd, more backward do £8 15s £9 ss, Jersey do £l2 £l2 15s, choice do £JS 10s £l6 10s £l7 10s, draught filly £l3 10s. At Stratford on 12th Inst, the store section continued to show signs of improvement, especially tor young cattie and empty heifers. Store and the dairy market was steady, in fact enquiry strong, good quality cattle selling well. Lambs 7s 9d 9s, ewes in lamb 12s 5d 16s (id, weaner steers 30s, 20-month steers £2 £2 7s, weaner heiferfe 22s 6d 365, well grown do £2 7s 6d, Jersey do £4, empty heifers £6, store cows £2 18s £3 2s 6d, fresh conditioned do £3 12s 6d, £4 ss, incalf cows £7 £8 10s £9, dairy cows £9 £lO £ll, better quality do £l2 15s, £l5, choice do £l7 10s £2O 10s.
At Hurford Road, on 12th we conducted a clearing sale on account of Mrs. Taylor. Furniture and sundries sold readily whilst the cows a number of which were calving late made good values. The best realising £l7 10s £lB 10s £2l, weaner heifers 80s 38s, Jersey do £6. At Inglewood on 13th a heavy yarding of sleep and cattle was submitted to good enquiry throughout. Young cattle were still, much in demand and together with empty heifers were the most improved classes on the day. Dairy cattle with the exception of a few forward heifers eased a shade, sneep opened with a dull tone at the hammer but few pens eventually remained unsold. Lambs I’s 6d, inferior do ss, wethers 14s, store cows 35s £2 5s £3 Is, forward do £3 17s Gd £4 10s, weaner steers 19s 6d 20s to 29s 6d, weaner heifers 21s 345, better sorts £s -m £2 7s £3 2s, Jersey do £4 ss, £5 19s 6d £6 12s Gd, empty heifers £3 7s 6d £4 4s Gd to £6 2s Gd, Ln-ealf heifers £7 £8 £lO, springing heifers £ll 15s £l2 15s £l3, dairy cows £lO to £l4.
At Rahotu on 14th a small yarding chiefly of young cattle met with a brisk sale, prices showing an advance. Weaner steers 20s 6d
