FOUR WOMEN CONCERNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. A case causing quite a' sensation was heard to-day, four women—one an old-age pensioner, one a recent arrival from England, one the wife of a wealthy farmer, and one a young girl—-were convicted of shop-lifting and stealing glasses from a hotel where they had been drinking. Each was sentenced to a fortnight, and two received an additional month with hard labour, the sentences to be concurrent.
