CAMBRIDGE DEFEATS OXFORD. RESULT OF DERBY. Ey Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, July 16. The first inter-University air race between Oxford and Cambridge, three machines aside of a similar type, preceded the Aerial Derby at Hendon. The course was 120 miles. Cambridge won. AU three competitors . rtere formerly war pilots. Seven of the Derby entrants out of 1!) scratched. Mars I, with a 450 h.p. Napier - Lion engine, piloted by J. 11. James, won in the fastest tipne over a 200-mile course. It also won the first handicap prize. Lieut.' Longton Australian Flying Corps), piloting SES, 220-h.p. Wr.lk-ley-Viper. won the second handicap prize of £lOO.
